We got an email today from Little Miss Julia who is sending the msg AND THEN SOME - she's got local, community outreach down to an INCREDIBLY IMPRESSIVE science. Here is what she's doing:
1) Speaking to local PTAs: So far she's had a number of her area's PTAs place a link to Mom Sends the Msg and our pledge on PTA websites, in PTA newsletters and included in PTA email blasts.
2) Getting local police departments to Send the Msg: Not one but THREE police departments her area towns are going to post the Mom Sends the Message information on their sites.
3) Coffee shops (yes, she's briliant): When you are getting your daily Starbucks (or ANY coffee shop) latte fix, ask the manager if they would be willing to post something about Mom Sends the Message in the store! She even created a flyer, which we turned into a PDF and you can grab it here: Download MomSendtheMsg
We are making a difference and if each of us reached out on the local level even just a little to send the msg - IMAGINE what good we will do. Thank you, Little Miss Julia - and all of you - for raising awareness and saving lives in the process.

I pledge to drive without distractions. It will be difficult, but I have a son who will be driving in less than a month and I want to be a good role model. From now on, I will pull over when I want to text. I'm also going to try to not talk and drive. This is harder, but I know I need to do it.
